Aztecs win MWC, next up Houston in Las Vegas Bowl

LARAMIE, WY – San Diego State football team was celebrating Sunday after defeating Wyoming the night before to win the Mountain West Conference championship for the second straight year.

The Aztecs not only defeated Wyoming 27-24 Saturday night in Laramie, but they endured below freezing temps. It was 18 degrees during kickoff at War Memorial Stadium.

The win was the third conference title game victory in 5 years for the Aztecs.

SDSU will take on the Houston Cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl set for December 17 at 12:30 p.m. PST.
