SAN YSIDRO, Calif. – A 68-year-old veteran who disappeared from his family’s San Ysidro home over a week ago turned up in Las Vegas, his daughter told FOX 5 Monday.

A doctor in Las Vegas reached out to Aime Cantu, daughter of Eliasib Cantu, and said her father was in the care of hospital workers. He showed no signs of physical issues, but was suffering from a mental issue.

The doctor did not immediately disclose how or when her father arrived at the hospital. Aime Cantu said she was waiting to hear back from the doctor for more details.
