Two women rescued after falling from cliffs in La Jolla

LA JOLLA – Two women fell about 20 feet down a cliff at La Jolla’s Boomer Beach Saturday, authorities said.

It happened about 8:45 pm. at La Jolla Cove near Coast Walk, said San Diego Lifeguards spokesman Lee Swanson.

“One woman was walked out with minor injuries,” said Swanson. “The other woman was carried out on a backboard and taken to Scripps (Memorial Medical Center) La Jolla.”
