Neighbors evacuated after vacant house catches fire

ESCONDIDO, Calif. — A vacant house fire forced neighbors to evacuate from their home in Escondido overnight.

Flames broke out in the attic of the house on N. Escondido Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. and quickly spread to nearby trees.

Crews battling the flames said there was a risk of a roof collapse.

No injuries were reported.
