Search continues for gunman in unsolved Oceanside murder

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Authorities reiterated their call Monday for information that could lead to whoever shot and killed a 35-year-old man outside an Oceanside home six months ago.

Witnesses heard an argument just before Brandon Keiser was mortally wounded on sidewalk alongside South Freeman Street near Missouri Avenue on the night of March 22, according to Oceanside police and Crime Stoppers. Keiser died at the scene.

The attack was not believed to be random, police said. It was unclear whether Keiser and the shooter knew each other.
