UberEats food-delivery app expanding to North County

SAN DIEGO – A company best known for its ride-sharing business is now giving hungry customers in North County a convenient way to snag a meal.

Uber’s UberEats food-delivery app is expanding to Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas and Cardiff by the Sea.

UberEATS offers full menus at varying prices from a broad range of restaurants in San Diego.  You can order between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m. seven days a week.  The delivery fee is a flat $4.99.

The company is already in 27 cities across the US and another six cities worldwide.
