Power outages affect 9,500 SDG&E customers

SAN DIEGO – Nearly 9,600 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power Wednesday morning.

The multiple outages happened for unknown reasons shortly before 8 a.m. and were affecting utility customers in the Mission Bay, Pacific Beach, Logan Heights, Mountain View, Lincoln Park, Encanto, Emerald Hills, Valencia Park, National City, Paradise Hills, Skyline, Bay Terraces and National City neighborhoods, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

By about 9:15 a.m., service had been restored to more than 3,668 of the 9,555 utility customers who initially lost power, according to SDG&E’s website. Service is expected to be restored to the remaining customers by 10:30 a.m.
