SAN MARCO, Calif. – A North County medical center was evacuated Thursday morning after someone received a phoned-in bomb threat, authorities said.

Employees and patients were evacuated from the North County Health Services Center at 150 Valpreda Road around 5:45 a.m., according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Members of the bomb squad responded to the location to search for the possible bomb. They did a sweep of the building and nothing was found. Crews cleared the area just after noon.

Investigators said the bomb threat was called in from a phone in Canada. The investigating is on-going.

No one was injured and the center returned to service.
