SAN DIEGO – A woman was arrested early Wednesday after she deliberately crashed a stolen vehicle into an outside patio at the Last Call bar in Colina Del Sol, police say.

The woman had gotten into an argument with a patron in the bar around 2 a.m. She then left the bar and allegedly tried to run the man over on the patio, police said.

The man was able to jump out of the way but sustained minor injuries.

Johnny Nava was there when he saw a grey car, driven by a woman speeding toward the bar.

“I saw this grey car go flying straight down El Cajon and she was passing red lights and everything else and then this is what happened,” a bar patron said.

The suspect drove off after crashing through the porch, but was found about 90 minutes later in the 5100 block of Trojan Avenue either asleep or passed out in the stolen Toyota.

“Approximately 4 this morning, officers located the female who was passed out inside the vehicle at the intersection of 51st Street and Trojan Avenue,” said San Diego Police Officer Mark Herring. "Officers evaluated her for DUI and arrested her for DUI. They also arrested her for assault with a deadly weapon for intentionally driving toward the two males in the alley. They also arrested her or possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle she was in had been reported stolen earlier."

The identity of the woman has not yet been released. She has since been booked into the Las Colinas Women's Detention Facility.

“Alcohol impairs judgement and this is what it can lead to,” Herring added.
