SAN DIEGO — A fight early Wednesday at Horton Plaza Park left one young man with a non-life-threatening stab wound and a second behind bars.

The 23-year-old suspect walked up to the 18-year-old victim and a few of his companions in the park at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Broadway shortly after 1 a.m. An argument ensued and quickly turned physical.

At some point, the victim was stabbed in his left thigh with an unknown object. He was taken to a hospital to be treated.

SDPD said the suspect fled, but was taken into custody a short time later. His name was not immediately available.
