Construction workers place cones on SR-56 following an incident where a coworker was hit by his work truck.

SAN DIEGO – A construction worker placing cones on the road was hospitalized after getting hit by his work truck, a witness told FOX 5.

The man apparently left his white Isuzu box truck in neutral on eastbound state Route 56 in Torrey Highlands at 6:30 a.m., the witness said. The truck then rolled and hit him.

A coworker called 911 to report what happened.

He was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital to be treated for an arm injury.
