OCEANSIDE, Calif. – After months of planning and some help from a local artist, an Oceanside man pulled off a stunt to propose to his girlfriend.

got a local artist and family members to help pull off a stunt to propose to his girlfriend Bree Abbott.

On Saturday, Eric Castro went on a walk down to the Oceanside Pier with his girlfriend Bree Abbott and their dog. They walked up to a caricaturist, who offered to draw a picture of the couple.  When the artist was done with the caricature drawing, he turned it toward the couple and that’s when Abbott was taken aback.

The caricature was of Castro proposing to Abbott. That’s when Castro dropped down to his knee and asked her to marry him.

Still in shock – Abbott said “Yes!”

Castro spent two months planning the big moment and it was well worth it. He posted the video of the marriage proposal online.
