Andy Cohen, Jamie Foxx join All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game
SAN DIEGO — Major League Baseball Tuesday filled out the rosters of Sunday’s MLB All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game in San Diego, adding several former Padres and a cast of actors and entertainers.
Ex-Padres include pitcher David Wells and outfielders Fred Lynn, Rickey Henderson and Billy Bean. Baseball officials announced last month that former Padres Trevor Hoffman, Ozzie Smith and Rollie Fingers would play.
Outfielders Tim Raines, Andre Dawson and Curtis Pride are also set to appear in the contest, which will take place after the annual Futures Game at Petco Park.
In addition to previously announced soccer star Landon Donovan, other athletes added to the roster include former Chargers quarterback and current New Orleans Saint Drew Brees, and Jennie Finch, an Olympic gold medalist in softball.
Entertainers include Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx, Switchfoot bassist Tim Foreman, Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” host-producer Andy Cohen, and model Damaris Lewis. Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and model Nina Agdal were announced earlier.
Actors added to the roster are Mark Consuelos, Peyton Meyer, Cameron Boyce, Omar Miller, Karan Brar, Morris Chestnut, Terry Crews, Kyle Mooney, Raini Rodriguez and Rico Rodriguez. Previously announced participants are J.K. Simmons, Mark- Paul Gosselaar, Sterling K. Brown and Tyler Hoechlin.
A pair of sergeants who play on a Wounded Warrior softball team, Martin Diaz and Chris Gary, will also join the rosters.
The Futures Game, made up of top minor league prospects, begins at 4 p.m., with the softball event to follow. Tickets can be purchased at the official All-Star Game website at AllStarGame.com.
