Blue Angels pilot dies in Tennessee crash

SMYRNA, Tenn. -- The pilot of a Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 died after the jet crashed in Smyrna, Tennessee, on Thursday afternoon during practice for an upcoming air show, town manager Harry Gill told reporters.

The pilot has been identified as Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss.

Capt. Kuss is survived by his wife and young son.

There were no civilian injuries.
