A woman was rescued from her mangled vehicle Thursday after a hit and run accident in Chula Vista.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – A woman was rescued from her mangled vehicle Thursday after a hit and run accident in Chula Vista.

The accident happened around 11 p.m. on the Main Street off-ramp of Interstate 5.

Witnesses say the suspect was driving without headlights and crossed the centerline, crashing into the victim’s silver sedan.

The victim’s car rolled over in the intersection, trapping the female driver.

The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that don’t appear to be life-threatening.
