A Pacific Beach woman recently found a baby opossum swimming in her toilet.

SAN DIEGO – A Pacific Beach woman recently found a baby opossum that had fallen into her toilet.

After finding a second opossum inside the home, it’s believed that the animal got in through a broken window, according to the San Diego County Department of Animal Services.

An animal control officer rescued the little critter from the bowl and took it to Project Wildlife.

The opossum is doing well and will be released once it is old enough to survive on its own.

This is not the first wild animal found inside a San Diego bathroom recently. Just last week, a woman was startled after finding a python in her bathtub.

Residents had no idea how the snake made it into the home, much less the bathtub.
