Surfer lands first ever back-flip in competition

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - A Brazilian surfer made World Surf Tour history in his home country by landing the first ever back-flip in competition.

History was made Saturday at the 2016 Oi Rio Pro in Brazil after the 2014 champion Gabriel Medina landed the back-flip. He earned a perfect 10 for the epic move.

Medina also landed a front side air reverse to move to the next round.
