My parents immigrated to the U.S. from South Korea in the mid-70s with just a few hundred dollars.

They embraced new opportunities, built a small business and raised four children, all while instilling in us the values of their home country: family, work, and community.

I'm proud of my heritage because it is one of resilience, strength and hope.
