Massive twister touches down in Colorado

WARY, Colo. – Severe weather whipped across Colorado Saturday and several tornadoes were reported in Wary, near the Nebraska border.

Several tornadoes hit the town of nearly 3,000 about two hours east of Denver. The biggest tornado was a half-mile wide and ran six miles north along Highway 385.

The funnel was captured by storm chasers. They posted the mesmerizing video to social media.


Emergency crews were assessing the damage caused by it.

The National Weather Service said Sunday there were 15 reports of tornadoes across the Eastern Plains. Authorities said at least five people were hurt as a result of the storm.
