Student sexually assaulted at Mesa College

SAN DIEGO – Police were trying to identify a man who attacked a young woman and tried to pull off her pants at Mesa College.

The victim, a student at the college, told police that Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. on Mesa College Access Road, a man came out of the bushes, pulled her by her hair, pinned her against a trash can, bit her neck, forcibly attempted to remove her pants.

The student was able to fight the man off, but the attack left bruising on her thigh. She described the man as between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11, with a muscular build, light brown short hair, dark eyes, a long round face, broad shoulders and skinny legs. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark, baggy jeans.
