San Diegans line up early to hear Bill Clinton stump for Hillary in Balboa Park

SAN DIEGO – San Diegans began lining up early in Balboa Park Wednesday to see former President Bill Clinton  campaign on behalf of his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The line outside the Balboa Park Club, located at 2144 Pan American Plaza, began forming around 7 a.m. even though doors to the venue were not scheduled to open until 9 a.m. Clinton is scheduled to appear at the campaign rally at 10:15 a.m.

The Balboa Park Club can hold up to 1,000 people, so the event is relatively intimate. . People wanting to attend can RSVP online.

FOX5 will stream Clinton’s appearance online, for those who cannot attend in person.

Clinton’s campaign group said he will be discussing “why Hillary Clinton is the best candidate to raise wages and break down all the barriers holding families back.” He is campaigning for his wife ahead of the California primary election on June 7. Early voting in that election begins next week.

Clinton is also scheduled to appear at  an afternoon campaign event in Los Angeles at the Garden Suite Hotel in Koreatown. On Saturday, he is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at Loyola Marymount University.
