BUFFALO, N.Y. – A 28-year-old woman was arrested in upstate New York after driving a car with a homemade license plate.

On Wednesday, an Eerie County Sheriff Deputy stopped Amanda Schweickert in Springville after noticing the car had an imitation rear license plate and no front plate.

She was also driving with a suspended registration and without insurance, according to officials.

The license plate was made using cardboard and painted to replicate a New York plate.

Schweickert was charged with felony possession of a forged instrument and other related counts.
