SAN DIEGO – A Crawford High School teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student in her car, home and classroom, it was revealed in court Monday.

Toni Nicole Sutton, 37, accused of carrying on a six-month sexual relationship with one of her male students has pleaded not guilty to 11 felony charges, including two counts of sexual intercourse with a minor.

The student was 15 years old when the alleged relationship started in June of 2015 and turned 16 during that six month period, it was revealed.  The relationship was discovered after the minor's parents found text messages between  Sutton and the boy.

Sutton -- who had been out of custody -- had her bail increased from $50,000 to $100,000 and was taken to jail. A bail review is set for Thursday.

If Sutton is found guilty, she faces up to 9 years in prison.
