ESCONDIDO, Calif. – A woman in North County made a card club into a drive-thru after crashing into the front of a North County card club Thursday.

Two retirement-age women escaped harm when the car they were in smashed through the front of The Bridge Club in the 2300 block of South Escondido Boulevard. The car ended up entirely inside the building.

The driver accidentally pushed the gas instead of the brake, Lt. Edward Varso said.

No one was injured in the crash that happened about noon, according to Sgt. Craig Miller.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
