IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. – A teenage driver borrowed his stepfather's car and crashed it into several other vehicles late Wednesday, pushing one through the wall of an apartment building.

The crash was reported just before 11 p.m. at 870 13th St. in Imperial Beach.

According to police, the 18-year-old man was driving his step father's car when he apparently lost control. He hit two cars in an alley and and careened to the other side of the street, where he hit two other cars. The impact pushed one of those cars through the bedroom wall of an apartment.

No one was injured in the crash. Investigators determined that the young driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and were trying to determine why he lost control of the car.

A building inspector determined that the damage to the apartment building did cause any safety issues.
