CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Chula Vista High School senior, Desiree Arellano, went from ineligible to college bound with the help of hard work and motivation from her head coach. As a freshman, Arellano had to sit out four varsity games due to her grades. Now as a senior she continues to thrive as a leader on the team and maintains over a 3.0 GPA. Her first college acceptance letter arrived from Humboldt State University, and Arellano hopes to see more come in as the year progresses.
