SAN DIEGO — One of two top winning Fantasy 5 tickets was sold Thursday night at the Chula Vista 7-Eleven where a winning Powerball ticket was sold earlier this month, according to California Lottery.

The winner of the ticket, sold at 290 I street, will collect $171,175.

The other top winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold in North Hollywood.

Last Friday, lottery officials announced four mechanics claimed a Powerball ticket sold in Chula Vista that matched five of the six numbers in the multi-state Powerball drawing on Jan. 13. The ticket was one of 12 such tickets in California.

Paul Pineda purchased the 10 $2 Quick Pick tickets for himself and three coworkers. He told the California Lottery he organized the pool and bought the tickets Jan. 9 after he heard the jackpot had spiked to what at that time was a record jackpot of $1.3 billion.

The holders of that ticket will collect $638,146. After taxes, it is estimated the take home payout will be near $390,000.
