Panthers to face Broncos in Super Bowl 50
SAN DIEGO – Peyton Manning isn’t done just yet. Now, the 39-year-old quarterback has another chance to win an NFL championship.
With Manning’s two touchdown passes to tight end Owen Daniels and a late escape by the Denver Broncos defense, the Broncos defeated the New England Patriots 20-18 in the AFC Championship Game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, advancing to Super Bowl 50.
“It’s a great honor to be going back to the Super Bowl — playing Super Bowl 50,” Manning said. “I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be a fun two weeks.”
They now know their opponent: The Carolina Panthers, who beat the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 in the NFC Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Super Bowl 50 is February 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
