SAN DIEGO – Police blocked streets in downtown San Diego near City Hall due to the discovery of a suspicious device Wednesday afternoon, police said.
MAST Strike Team responded to 1st Avenue and C Street around 3 p.m. to investigate the object. San Diego police temporarily asked people in the area to shelter in place as they investigated. As of 3:40 p.m., they lifted the restriction.
By 4:30 p.m., trolley service resumed and the tape was lifted from the intersection of Front and C streets.
