BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. – A 21-year-old woman died after she skied into a metal stairway at the Bear Mountain Ski Resort over the weekend.
Natalie Altieri is shown in a photo she posted to her Facebook page on March 10, 2015. She was killed in a skiing accident in Big Bear on Nov. 29, 2015.
Natalie Altieri was skiing at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday when she crashed, KTLA reported.
The young woman from Canton, Ohio was taken to a hospital, where she died about an hour later, the San Bernardino County coroner's office said.
Altieri was a fashion design student at the University of Cincinnati. She had planned to fly home to Ohio on Dec. 18 to spend Christmas with her family.
