Granite Hills teachers get threatening emails
EL CAJON, Calif. – Police were investigating threats made to Granite Hills High School staff members Sunday, according to school officials.
Granite Hills High principal Mike Fowler notified parents of the investigation in an email Monday morning.
Overnight, the El Cajon Police Department has been investigating a threatening email that was sent to a few staff members at Granite Hills by an individual impersonating a current student. Law enforcement does not believe this to be a credible threat.
Although there is nothing to substantiate it, your child’s safety is our top priority. We will have increased security on campus today as the investigation continues. We know it is important to keep our parents and school community members informed.
El Cajon police said the threats were not credible. The investigation did not disrupt the school day.
The nature of the threats were not disclosed.
