Cathedral Catholic High School senior, Lexi Dorn, gives back on the court and in the community. Through Project Mercy, the Dons setter spent a weekend in October in Tijuana, Mexico building a home for one deserving family.

"They were living in a shack basically," said Dorn. " We were trying to help them have a place to call their own and it was very cool."

Lexi says she also does additional community service work with her family like feeding the homeless, donating clothes, and making hundreds of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every month with her church. Before she graduates from Cathedral, the Western League leader in assists and aces hopes to win a CIF Championship with the Dons.

"Really want to win a CIF and State that is my dream," said Lexi. "I have not won it yet. I'm going to push for it my hardest this year."

Lexi says she plans to continue her community service work next fall when she attends Purdue University.
