Cop crashes patrol car into front yard

SAN DIEGO – A San Diego police officer lost control of his cruiser and crashed into a parked car in Clairemont Tuesday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The officer was responding to a call at 1:30 a.m. when his car began to slide on the 4900 block of Genesee Avenue. The officer crashed into a parked car and slid into the front yard of a home.

The commotion of the crash woke the home’s residents, who walked outside to see what happened. The police vehicle’s front end was badly damaged in the crash.

No one was hurt.
