CORONADO, Calif. — A 30-foot sailboat washed ashore Thursday morning near Dog Beach in Coronado.

The beached boat was reported at 8:40 a.m. on the beach in the 200 block of Ocean Boulevard.

The boat came loose from it’s mooring near Zuniga jetty, according to Coronado police. Due to rising tides, the vessel was not able to be towed out safely.

Police are working with the owner to remove it Thursday evening.
