MECHANICSVILLE, Va. — Musician Jason Mraz wed girlfriend Christina Carano over the weekend in a church near his childhood home.

Mraz, 38, announced his secret marriage to Carano in a post on his Facebook page Sunday evening.

“Today I was made the luckiest man in the world,” Mraz posted.

“The wedding took place at the Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville where Mraz grew up — easily identified by a unique outlined house outdoors complete with faux windows,” according to E! News. “The 38-year-old Grammy-winning crooner met his stunning bride at an altar decorated by a canopy wrapped in greenery. The nuptials were said before a small guest list of around 50 family and friends.”

Mraz, a Mechanicsville native, lives in San Diego. He met Carano at the a Southern California coffee shop she owned.

“The first few years of getting to know him, I was mostly an observer of his life,” Carano recently told Osider Magazine. “I’d get invited to his concerts and small gatherings at his house here in Oceanside where I’d think, ‘Of all the places he could be, he chose to live in nature amongst the avocado trees.’ I also loved that he didn’t have a TV or microwave and that he was passionate about taking care of his health and our planet and how he chooses to live a life of service on and off the stage.”
