SAN DIEGO – President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in San Diego Saturday for a couple days of rest at the end of a West Coast swing.

Friday, the president went to Roseburg, Oregon, the site of last week’s shooting at Umpqua Community College in which nine people were killed and nine others wounded. His itinerary also included stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles for political fundraisers.

The president plans to spend Saturday night and Sunday relaxing with his family in Rancho Santa Fe. No public events are scheduled.

He’s set to depart Monday afternoon aboard Air Force One.

The president’s last San Diego visit was in May 2014, when he attended a fundraiser at the home of former Qualcomm co-founder Irwin Jacobs.
