ATM ripped out of Carmel Valley pharmacy

SAN DIEGO - Thieves dragged an  ATM out of a Rite Aid pharmacy early Monday morning, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An employee arrived at the pharmacy at a shopping center near Carmel Valley Road and Del Mar Heights Road just before 4 a.m. and saw the front doors had been yanked off their hinges. Glass and other debris was strewn all throughout the parking lot and an ATM was missing, police said.

San Diego police were at the Rite Aid investigating the incident. No description of the suspect or a vehicle was available, according to police.
