TAMPA, Fla. – A school bus with children on board overturned into a pond Thursday afternoon in north Tampa, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The bus was transporting students from Mary E. Bryant Elementary School in Tampa before it lost control and went into the pond near Nine Eagle Drive and Kingsmill Road.
The driver also exited safely and stayed at crash site.
There were no serious injuries, Hillsborough deputies said.
About two hour after deputies arrived, a tow truck was seen dragging the bus out of the pond.
What caused the bus to leave the road and go into the pond was under investigation.
