SPRING VALLEY, Calif. – A woman launched her SUV into a pool after she lost control of the vehicle in Spring Valley Tuesday, a witness said.

Deputies went to the 8500 block of Paradise Valley Road after receiving a call that a driver launched her vehicle into a pool.  It happened near the state route 125.

One person was inside the home and heard the loud crash in the backyard.  When she went outside to see what happened, she found half the SUV inside the pool  in about four feet of water.

"I'm glad nobody is hurt, I was more worried about my daughter, she was nervous when she called me, she went out to make sure the driver was okay, and she was fine," said Fred Thompson, owner of the property.

No one was in the pool when it happened, according to San Diego Sheriff's Department.  The unidentified driver was taken out of the car by firefighters and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The California Highway Patrol says the wet roadway played a role in the accident and probably led to the driver losing control.
