SAN DIEGO – The pilot of the Spirit of San Diego completing his around-the-world journey Monday.

Robert De-Laurentis took off on his adventure from Lindbergh Field on May 17 and made it back three months later.

The global flight took DeLaurentis 15,000 nautical miles while making stops in more than 20 countries.

The small engine plane named the Spirit of San Diego was in honor of Charles Lindbergh.
