Sewage spill pollutes Mission Bay

SAN DIEGO — An unknown amount of raw sewage spilled into Santa Clara Cove in Mission Bay Sunday, authorities said.

Around 1:30 p.m., the cove was shut down indefinitely, Capt. Joe Amador of San Diego Fire-Rescue said.

SDFRD contacted San Diego County of Environmental Health and it began its investigation.
