OCEANSIDE, Calif. - A man was found dead with a gunshot wound in an Oceanside residence Sunday.
Officers were called to the 500 block of Gold Drive at 4:26 a.m. Sunday after shots were heard in a house, Oceanside Police Department Lt. Leonard Cosby said. They arrived and found a 27-year-old man dead in a garage.
Neighbors told FOX5 they heard what sounded like fireworks and then a man yelling in the street.
Police remained tight-lipped about the victim and any potential suspects, but the Gang Task Force has been called out to assist in the investigation.
"We’re going to get everyone on board. We haven't ruled anything out," said OPD Sgt. Gabe Jimenez.
Investigators blocked off the street and several homes for over 12 hours Sunday keeping neighbors from their homes for most of the day.
A family lived in home where the man was found, according to neighbors.
