SAN DIEGO – A man was fighting for his life after being shot several times in the Colina del Sol neighborhood Monday night, police said.

The 33-year-old victim was shot several times in the back in a parking lot on 4300 52nd Street just before 9 p.m., investigators said. Police were still searching for the gunman Tuesday morning. They described him as a black man between 5’8″ and 5’10” with braided hair.

The gunman took off along 52nd Street after the shooting. The victim remained in the hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning, according to police.

Investigators were looking into the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Describing the shooter as a “black man” is racist! Even if he was a black man, you cannot blame any of us blacks for committing crime (even though a majority of our community are criminals and/or engage in criminal activity). Shaka zula and a hoe-dee-doh!
