SAN DIEGO - A man was recovering in the hospital Tuesday morning after falling 80 feet off Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach.

The man, 31, was drunk and ignored several "Danger Stay Back" barriers along the cliff when he fell around 12:20 a.m. at 4400 Ladera Street, San Diego Fire said.

Several people in the area found him unconscious at the bottom of the cliff. He was  severely bleeding from a serious head injury suffered in the fall.

San Diego Fire placed the man on a stretcher and airlifted him to UCSD Medical Center. He was reportedly awake, but did not remember the fall or even his own name, according to San Diego Fire.

If I were you I would just contact SD PD and see if they have info. They may not be able to give you the name, but might be able to confirm if you provide the name. Good luck
