Dance crews prepare for World Hip Hop Dance Championship

SAN DIEGO - Over 3,500 hip hop dancers from around the globe are in San Diego for an enormous world-class dance battle.

The World Hip Hop Dance Championships has crews of five to eight dancers and MegaCrews with 15 to 45 dancers competing throughout the week for major titles.

The USA Hip Hop Dance Championship kicked off August 2 at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Judges watched crews perform for two days and decided which teams will represent the U.S. in the World Championship set for August 4-9. The World Finals on August 9 will take place at Viejas Arena at San Diego State University.
