Amber Alert issued in Oceanside for 2 missing boys

OCEANSIDE – An Amber Alert was issued by the San Diego Sheriff’s office looking for a 2010 gray Honda Accord with California license plate 6LMT598.

Oceanside Police issued a “Care Alert” after two young brothers were taken after a domestic violence investigation late Monday afternoon.  The boys were last seen just after 4pm in the 2300 block of Greenbrier Drive.

Authorities are looking for 29 year old Daijon West, who is the father of one of the boys.  West reportedly fled the home with 9 year old Daijon West Jr and 10 year old Jamel Oliver.

Oceanside Police Lieutenant Matt Cole stated that the suspect was “inflecting injury to his wife and making criminal threats against her” at the time of the altercation.

According to the county’s alert system,  “a Care Alert is initiated when a report of a life threatening abduction is taken and confirmed by law enforcement officials.”

West is considered armed and dangerous.  He was last seen fleeing in a gray 2010 Honda Accord with California license plate 6LMT598.  The suspect is described as a 29 year old male, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with tattoos on both sides of hsi neck and left arm.

If you spot the suspect or either of the boys pictured, please DO NOT approach and call 911.
