Man accused of stabbing step dad
ESCONDIDO, Calif. — A 28-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his stepfather during a fight at an Escondido residence, leaving him with life-threatening injuries, was wanted on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday.
Travis Thomas is suspected of stabbing the 49-year-old victim multiple times, including once in the neck, as the two men were arguing shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday at 131 N. Beech St., Escondido police Lt. Eric Skaja said. He fled before police arrived.
Medics took the victim, who was not identified, to Palomar Medical Center. Skaja said he was treated for stab wounds and was listed in stable condition.
Thomas was described as white, 6 feet tall and around 195 pounds with a shaved head and a goatee.
Skaja said the suspect was considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call police at 760-0839-4722 or 760-743-8477.
