RINCON, Calif. — A head-on crash near Pauma Valley Country Club left two people dead Friday and two others injured.

The collision, which involved a commercial box truck and a passenger vehicle, occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on State Route 76, near Sams Mountain Road in the rural Rincon area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two people died at the scene, Cal Fire Capt. Kendal Bortisser said. Medics took two others to a hospital for treatment of moderately serious injuries. The victims’ names were not immediately available.

The wreck left the two-lane roadway closed in the area through the late morning, the CHP reported.

Hey FOX5 you need to get your information correct!!! This occurred in PAUMA VALLEY not Rincon. FYI Rincon is not even a town in San Diego County. And the map that you have attached to the article is also wrong! Great journalism skills!

Rincon is an unincorporated community, just as ….. Pauma Valley is an unincorporated community, and if you google map the location identified in the story, it is correct. Also, the information is “according to the California Highway Patrol.” now shut up and go find something to do you f*cking moron
