SAN DIEGO – Two women were in jail Wednesday morning after robbing a woman outside a Walmart in Serra Mesa, police said.

The woman was shopping inside the Walmart 3382 Murphy Canyon Road around 2:40 a.m. when she got into a verbal altercation with the two women, both of whom were in their mid 20s. The women were reportedly being loud and disruptive while shopping.

When the woman left the Walmart, the two women followed her outside to her car and robbed her, taking her groceries and several other possessions. The women were arrested a short time later, according to San Diego police.

No injuries were reported and it’s not believed the women used a weapon during the robbery. Neither the victim nor the robbers have been identified.
