SAN DIEGO — A teenage boy suspected of stabbing two women inside a Teralta-area home was facing attempted murder charges Wednesday.

The 17-year-old suspect somehow entered a 45-year-old acquaintance’s home on Highland Avenue near University Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

Delimitros said the teen attacked the resident, leaving her with life-threatening stab wounds to her torso and a broken arm, then turned the knife on a woman who attempted to intervene, stabbing her in her head and arm.

The suspect fled, but was later arrested near his home, Delimitros said. His name was not immediately available.

There was no immediate word on motive.
